The aim of the project is to develop of new technologies for explosive cladding of multilayer materials and selected associated technologies related to processing and target application of new products.

The aim of the project is to increase the company’s competitiveness through the development of export activities, economic cooperation and company promotion on new Chinese and Swiss sales markets.

Activities planned in the project will be focused on:

  • supporting the development of new business models, including strategies for international activities, opening new business channels, geographical or sectoral diversification (TYPE 1);
  •  support for business cooperation at national and international level (TYPE 2);
  • company promotions, including participation in national and international events, including fairs or technology shows, as part of the project, justifying the company’s development strategy or new business models introduced (TYPE 3).

The direct effects of the project implementation will be the Applicant’s support in the field of internationalization of activity, specialist consultancy, support in the implementation of international information and promotion undertakings, and investment of own funds.

Subject of the project is to perform Industrial testing and development works at EXPLOMET to be completed in order to develop and implement the production technology of metallic multilayer composites with the explosive cladding method to construct specialist process equipment, connector elements of modern power transmission systems and hybrid metal structures.

The project involves the implementation of 3 tasks: construction and purchase of equipment for research and development facilities, industrial research and development works. The result of the project will be the development of technology for calculating, designing and manufacturing by the method of explosive cladding of multilayer metallic composites and algorithms for calculating strength parameters of structures that take into account the properties of all layers of multilayer material composites.

The aim of the project is to develop export activities, economic cooperation and promotion of the company ZAKŁAD TECHNOLOGII HIGH-ENERGY EXPLOMET GAŁKA, SZULC SPÓŁKA JAWNA with seat in Opole on existing and new markets, including Scandinavia, South America, South Africa, North Africa – Arabian Peninsula – Turkey, Eastern Europe.

The effect of the activities undertaken under the project will be increased expansion of the company to foreign markets (signing of 12 foreign commercial contracts) and an increase in export sales revenue

The aim of the project is to develop new materials obtained by the method of explosive cladding (joining), which will be used in various types of geothermal infrastructure elements, e.g. in tanks and pipelines. Explosive cladding is one of the most modern methods of producing protective coatings. This innovative technique allows to obtain materials with unique strength and resistance to degradation. Materials joined by explosion are characterized by synergy of unique properties of nanomaterials, non-equilibrium materials and multilayer materials. The originality of the project is an attempt to adapt the base and clad materials for work in the environment of geothermal waters, while taking into account the emerging transition zones and interlayers. Transition zones and interlayers occurring in the joint will constitute a diffusion barrier for hydrogen, which is one of the main factors causing rapid degradation of structural elements. Fatigue tests conducted on various types of steels operated under working conditions in Icelandic geothermal installations have shown that the decrease in strength parameters and the shortened lifetime of the installation can be attributed to the occurrence of stress corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement in these steels

The aim of the project is to develop new, advanced Al-Ti layered materials for special applications, e.g. in multi-layer passive ballistic shields or as structural elements in the aerospace industry. The main technical goal of the project is to obtain a sufficiently strong, diffusive connection, using the explosive joining method, between the Al alloy sheet and the Ti alloy sheet

The aim of the project is to create opportunities for the company’s development in problematic areas such as:

  • Expanding own research and development capabilities for the implementation of R&D tasks based on the expansion of the company’s specialized research facilities as the nucleus of the future research and development department (R&D center) and the development of links with regional, national and foreign research and development centers.
  • Introducing to market of new products based on the development of applied technology and development of technology, and their processing, including abrasive jet cutting techniques, in other words – water cutting
  • Introduction of significantly improved products by investing in machining technologies for processing and finishing products (water cutting) and permanent improvement of the main technology – explosive cladding
  • Minimization of production waste by reducing of technological surpluses and implementation of technologies for the use of this waste (finish treatment – water cutting), including stimulation of the sales market towards its management
  • Sales development through further construction of the agency network for acquiring Eastern and Far Eastern markets
  • Development of connections with the region’s companies, including as part of cluster initiatives – building an area of ​​partnership increasing knowledge and possibilities in the field of using modern metallic multilayer materials in products of the widely considered metal industry.

The creation of the own Specialized Laboratory for Bimetallic and Multilayer Materials Testing will significantly increase the company’s competitive position on the domestic and international market. It will allow the company to become independent in the field of certification.
